Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and experiences associated with clients' mood disorder symptoms.

• Work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that cater to their unique needs, preferences, and therapy goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to effectively address mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to empower and encourage their involvement in the recovery process.

• Monitor and track clients' progress throughout the treatment course, adjusting treatment plans when necessary to meet evolving needs.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for our clients.

• Stay current with emerging research and developments in mood disorder treatment, incorporating the latest findings into practice.

• Maintain confidential and precise documentation of client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans while ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and privacy standards.

• Act as a client advocate, working to reduce stigma around mood disorders and promote greater understanding of mental health needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Your experience and skills will directly influence their healing journey, fostering resilience and encouraging positive mental health outcomes. The diverse backgrounds of our clients underscore the importance of cultural sensitivity and awareness in your therapeutic approach.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience specializing in the treatment of mood disorders is strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment methods, specifically CBT and DBT, with a proven ability to achieve positive client outcomes.

• A strong understanding of psychopharmacology to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to establish a rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
