Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and evaluations to accurately identify patients’ mental health needs using evidence-based practices.

  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, applying therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

  • Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical records in alignment with HIPAA regulations, ensuring both legality and ethical standards are upheld.

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals in regular consultations to discuss treatment strategies and share insights.

  • Participate in peer review meetings to further enhance therapy quality and advocate for continuous improvement in clinical practices.

  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to participate actively in their own recovery journeys.

  • Stay informed and up to date with the latest research and methodologies in the mental health sector to continually enhance your therapeutic skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse range of clients facing various challenges, including anxiety disorders, major depressive disorder, trauma, and other mental health conditions. Our center puts a strong emphasis on serving individuals from varied backgrounds, ensuring an inclusive approach to care that recognizes and respects different cultural contexts and personal experiences.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Possession of an active licensure in New York State as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

  • Demonstrated proficiency in solution-focused psychotherapeutic approaches tailored to meet the specific needs of diverse clientele.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues alike.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills that allow for thoughtful intervention in emotionally complex situations.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Experience working in outpatient settings, particularly with adult and adolescent populations.
