Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Brighter Days, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ symptoms of mood disorders, focusing on their severity, frequency, and duration.

• Collaborating closely with clients to formulate personalized treatment plans that align with their unique goals and therapeutic needs.

• Implementing evidence-based interventions for mood disorders, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Providing psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, effective treatment approaches, and self-care techniques.

• Carefully monitoring client progress throughout the treatment journey and making necessary adjustments to care plans based on their evolving needs.

• Partnering with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure all-encompassing and coherent care for clients.
\n
• Staying current with the latest research and advancements in treatment methodologies to continually enhance therapeutic practices.

• Maintaining meticulous and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Participating actively in clinical case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives to augmentation of clinical competencies.

• Advocating for clients and working to destigmatize mental health challenges in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals suffering from a variety of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. Understanding the unique circumstances and cultural backgrounds of each client is paramount in providing effective treatment and nurturing long-lasting therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of New York.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based treatment methods, particularly CBT and DBT.
\n
• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology to facilitate effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers.

• Demonstrated ability to achieve successful client outcomes through therapeutic interventions.

Preferred Experience\n

While we require a minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience, candidates with a proven track record of managing complex cases involving mood disorders and familiarity with remote therapy modalities will be preferred.
