Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for a range of duties that focus on client care:

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ psychological needs, utilizing various assessment tools and diagnostic criteria.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique goals and needs of each client, ensuring alignment with evidence-based practices.

• Educate clients and their families regarding mental health issues, treatment options, and coping strategies to empower their involvement in the care process.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals, to provide coordinated and comprehensive care for clients.

• Stay informed of the latest developments in mental health treatments and practices, integrating new knowledge into your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working with a diverse range of clients who present with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational issues. The remote nature of our service allows you to reach individuals who may have limited access to traditional therapy settings, including those in underserved communities throughout New York and beyond.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
\n
• Active licensure in New York State as an LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC is mandatory.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with clients in a virtual environment.

• Excellent communication capabilities, including the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and supportive manner.

Preferred Experience\n

The candidate should ideally possess a minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience. Experience in telehealth practices is highly desirable, as is familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems that facilitate remote documentation and client management.

Compensation and Benefits\n
