Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual counseling sessions and manage crisis interventions, assessing and addressing the emotional and behavioral needs of patients undergoing detoxification.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to keep abreast of the latest trends and methodologies in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Counselor will primarily work with adults undergoing detoxification, addressing complex mental health issues related to substance use disorders. You will engage with a diverse clientele, tailoring therapeutic interventions to meet individual needs and cultural considerations while promoting long-term recovery and emotional resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is mandatory.

• An active independent license is required: either Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience is required, particularly in mental health or substance abuse settings.
