Senior Physical Therapist - Rehabilitation Facility

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Physical Therapist to join our team at The Health Connection in Tampa, Florida. In this full-time, onsite role, you will play a critical role in helping patients recover from a range of injuries and ailments. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical condition and functional abilities, establishing a clear baseline for treatment.
• Create personalized treatment plans based on evaluations that align with patients' individual health goals and specific conditions.
• Utilize hands-on techniques, therapeutic exercises, and various modalities to relieve pain, enhance mobility, and restore function.
• Educate patients on body mechanics, posture, and preventative strategies to avoid future injuries.
• Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, ensuring patient needs are met across all aspects of treatment.
• Maintain meticulous records of treatment interventions, progress notes, and outcomes to comply with regulatory standards and support ongoing care adjustments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At The Health Connection, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population including athletes recovering from sports injuries, individuals with post-surgery rehabilitation needs, and patients with chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist to practice in Florida.
• Board certification by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) preferred.
• A minimum of five years of clinical experience in physical therapy, specifically in rehabilitation settings.
• Proficient in using advanced physical therapy techniques and a variety of treatment modalities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt treatment plans based on patient feedback and progress.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in rehabilitating sports injuries and spinal care preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Prior involvement in patient education initiatives or workshops.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
