Down East Care Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team at our rehabilitation center located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their needs and developing tailored treatment plans that align with the physician's plan of care.
• Administer therapeutic interventions and rehabilitation strategies for various specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients.
• Document patient progress meticulously, ensuring compliance with state regulations and insurance requirements.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and communication skills to enhance patient satisfaction and foster a collaborative experience.
• Educate and consult with patients and their caregivers, empowering them with knowledge regarding their treatment plans and recovery goals.
• Contribute to team objectives by actively participating in multidisciplinary meetings and sharing insights from patient interactions.
• Meet and strive to exceed minimum utilization goals while upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center serves a diverse range of patients with varying rehabilitation needs. You will work with individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and neurological disorders. Each patient presents a unique set of challenges, and your role will involve designing individualized treatment approaches that consider their medical history, lifestyle, and specific rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, with a strong preference for candidates holding a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Current state license or eligible for licensure in Florida as a Physical Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication, combined with strong organizational skills and computer literacy.
• Proven ability to develop strong rapport with patients, demonstrating empathy and professionalism throughout the treatment process.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration and a thorough understanding of evidence-based practice principles.
• Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation technologies that enhance patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive base salary, Down East Care provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
