Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, restoring function, improving mobility, and ultimately reducing disability for clients.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients using diagnostic tests to assess functional abilities related to movement, muscle strength, and flexibility.
• Provide hands-on care, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and the use of specialized equipment to administer modalities such as traction and massage.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants during treatment sessions to ensure adherence to care plans while enhancing team productivity.
• Evaluate clients' home environments and provide recommendations tailored to enhance their ability to perform daily living activities independently.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, OASIS assessments, progress notes, discharge summaries, and care plans.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team during case conferences, discussing treatment plans and adjustments to improve overall client outcomes.
• Regularly observe, assess, and adjust therapeutic interventions based on clients' responses and progress, ensuring effective communication with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Stay accessible for supervision and consultation while Physical Therapy Assistants provide treatment, reinforcing high standards of care at all times.
• Engage actively in ongoing training, professional development, and departmental meetings to enhance your skills and contribute to the organization's objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a physical therapist in our facility, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, accidents, chronic pain conditions, and neurological disorders. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is mandatory; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• At least one year of relevant experience working as a physical therapist, particularly in outpatient or rehabilitation settings.
• A current state PT license in Florida, maintaining good standing throughout employment.
• Certification in CPR and a deep commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for clients.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in managing diverse patient populations with varying levels of physical impairment.

• Familiarity with contemporary healthcare technology and electronic documentation systems.

Compensation and Benefits
