Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Progressive Care Physical Therapy, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Creating and directing tailored rehabilitation programs aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and restoring function in accordance with each patient's unique capabilities.
• Observing and evaluating patients' functional levels through hands-on assessments, diagnostic testing, and interdisciplinary consultations.
• Supervising and collaborating with physical therapy assistants to ensure effective implementation of treatment plans.
• Conducting functional assessments within the outpatient facility, considering not only clinical factors but also environmental aspects that may affect recovery.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, traction, and massage treatments tailored to individual patient needs, while motivating clients to engage in their rehabilitation actively.
• Documenting and maintaining accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, therapy notes, and discharge summaries, following established guidelines.
• Attending case conferences to contribute to comprehensive treatment plans and ensure that all team members are aligned in their approach to patient care.
• Advising clients and their families on equipment use and best practices for home exercise programs.
• Maintaining all required certifications and licensure, including CPR and state-specific PT licensure, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.

Qualifications
