This role serves elementary-aged learners in a dedicated environment committed to individual achievement. The assignment covers the academic year, from August 5 through May 31, working Monday through Thursday, 8 hours daily, with the workday beginning at 7:45 am and concluding at 4:15 pm.

As the special education teacher in this setting, you'll manage a caseload of ten students with mild to moderate needs, as well as one student with a cognitive disability, providing both small group and individualized instruction. Your skills will play a key role in fostering a nurturing learning environment and facilitating growth for each unique student.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state-specific requirements fulfilled)
• Degree in Special Education or closely related field
• Previous experience with mild/moderate disabilities; familiarity with supporting students with cognitive disabilities is a plus
• Strong skills in IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Collaborative approach with paraprofessionals, classroom teachers, and related service providers
• Effective communication skills with families and staff
