Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental and emotional well-being, utilizing a range of evidence-based techniques.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, tailored to their unique circumstances and goals.

• Provide individual therapy sessions for diverse age groups, addressing a variety of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.

• Facilitate couples therapy, focusing on enhancing communication skills, resolving conflicts, and strengthening interpersonal relationships.

• Regularly monitor and update treatment plans based on client progress and feedback, adapting strategies as required to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Document and maintain accurate client records, including session notes and treatment milestones, in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate holistic care for clients, adapting to their changing needs.

• Provide crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute distress, ensuring their safety and emotional support during emergencies.

• Engage in ongoing professional development, keeping current with research and methodologies in marriage and family therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LMFT will work with a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, adults, and couples. You will encounter clients facing a wide array of issues such as relationship conflicts, familial stress, grief and loss, and individual mental health challenges. Your empathetic approach and dedication to fostering a safe therapeutic space will be crucial for effectively supporting clients from various backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.

• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the State Board is mandatory.

• Demonstrated experience providing individual or couples therapy with a solid understanding of systemic therapy models.

• Strong proficiency in the completion of client assessments, progress notes, and treatment planning is essential.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to learn and utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems is required.

Preferred Experience\n

While experience with clients of all ages is encouraged, priority will be given to candidates with specific experience in handling complex family dynamics, conflict resolution, or trauma-informed care. Experience with telehealth platforms is a plus, as is familiarity with local mental health resources in North Port, Florida.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
