Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of students, focusing on mood disorders, anxiety, and other relevant psychological concerns.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with students, their families, and educational staff, taking into account academic goals and personal aspirations.

• Utilize evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to provide therapeutic interventions that facilitate positive mental health outcomes.

• Facilitate educational sessions for students and families regarding mental health awareness, treatment options, and healthy coping strategies.

• Monitor client progress regularly, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective intervention and support.

• Work closely with school counselors and other mental health professionals to coordinate care and provide comprehensive support for each student.

• Stay informed on current developments and research in mental health treatment to enhance service delivery and outcomes.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential records of client interactions and treatment protocols in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with students ranging from elementary to high school, addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders. The diverse backgrounds of students provide an enriching experience that enhances your understanding of various cultural and socio-economic factors affecting mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's or advanced degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California is mandatory.

• At least three years of relevant post-licensure experience, especially in school settings or working with youth populations, is preferred.

• Proficient knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly for mood disorders, is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
