Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth psychosocial assessments to understand each student's mental health concerns, strengths, and available support systems.

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based modalities tailored to the school setting.

• Implement therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy according to each student's needs.

• Create and monitor individualized treatment plans, establishing specific, achievable goals in collaboration with students, parents, and educators.

• Engage in multidisciplinary teamwork, liaising with psychologists, psychiatrists, and school staff to ensure holistic and coordinated care.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and develop safety plans to address acute mental health situations as they arise.
\n
• Facilitate psychoeducational seminars, support groups, and therapeutic sessions aimed at fostering emotional understanding and community among students.

• Maintain precise and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with industry regulations and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus will be on students within the school system, including children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges. You will work with a diverse population that includes students from various cultural backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses, addressing issues such as bullying, anxiety, trauma, academic pressures, and behavioral concerns.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health or outpatient environment, particularly in a school-based setting.
