Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations, assessments, and diagnoses for patients presenting in our urgent care clinic.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, lab results, and EKGs, to inform treatment decisions.
• Triage and manage patients efficiently, ensuring optimal patient flow and minimizing wait times during busy periods.
• Perform minor surgical procedures, including but not limited to wound closures, incision and drainage (I&D), and removal of foreign bodies.
• Administer regional anesthesia and digital blocks for appropriate procedures.
• Initiate IV fluid therapy and perform closed reductions on simple fractures or dislocations.
• Provide oversight in daily operations, mentoring and training fellow advanced practice clinicians as the sole provider during shifts.
• Engage with patients through active listening and empathetic communication, creating a supportive environment.
• Manage patient callbacks and review lab results to ensure continuity of care and timely follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) licenses are required.
• Must hold a national certification as a Nurse Practitioner and maintain an unrestricted medical license to practice.
• A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a comparable setting, such as emergency room, urgent care, or primary care.
• Proficient in the use of advanced medical technology and electronic health records.
• Strong communication and patient management skills, with a focus on collaborative care.
• Availability to work full-time, with the flexibility to handle weekend shifts as needed.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an urgent care or outpatient clinic setting is strongly preferred.
• Background in surgical or emergency care procedures; certifications in Advanced Life Support or similar are advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of patients while ensuring quality and compassionate care.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
