Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments and evaluations to understand clients' mental health needs, utilizing diagnostic tools to formulate effective treatment strategies.

• Deliver individualized, one-on-one counseling sessions that address a range of issues such as PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, and substance abuse, employing various therapeutic techniques tailored to each client.

• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions, including support and psychoeducational groups, highlighting shared experiences and fostering community among participants.

• Develop and implement detailed individualized treatment plans, setting specific, measurable goals that reflect clients' needs and progress over time.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support when necessary, conducting thorough risk assessments and coordinating with emergency services as needed to ensure client safety.

• Stay current with advancements in the mental health field through ongoing training, workshops, and professional development, enhancing your capabilities to better serve our clients.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care for your clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who seek help with a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, and addiction. The ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds is crucial as our mission centers around promoting mental health equity across the community.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a mental health counselor in New York State, with the understanding that licensing requirements may differ by jurisdiction.

• Completion of at least three years of supervised clinical experience to meet state requirements.

Compensation and Benefits\n
