Position Overview

The Athletics Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in Arlington, Virginia. As a Full-Time PT, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality home care services to our clients, ensuring they maintain their independence and improve their overall quality of life. You will engage directly with patients to assess their needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement effective therapeutic interventions.

Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, where you'll work with clients in their homes across Arlington, Virginia. The home care setting offers a unique opportunity to deliver personalized therapy in a familiar environment, allowing you to closely monitor patient progress and adapt your strategies effectively. You will work Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured yet impactful work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions to determine individual therapy needs.
• Design and implement customized treatment programs aimed at restoring function, alleviating pain, and fostering mobility.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, occupational therapists, and physicians, to coordinate care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Regularly track and analyze patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their evolving conditions.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercise protocols, safety measures, and strategies for promoting physical health at home.
• Document all therapy interventions and outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Promote preventative care and wellness initiatives, including fall prevention programs and strength-building exercises.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on seniors and individuals requiring rehabilitation services due to illness, injury, or surgery. You will work closely with clients who have diverse needs ranging from post-operative recovery to chronic conditions that affects mobility and overall physical health. Your empathetic approach and patient-centered philosophy will be critical in helping clients regain their independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current Virginia PT license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy, with a preference for background in geriatrics or home health settings.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on empathetic patient interactions and team collaboration.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with an older adult population, particularly in a home care environment.
• Familiarity with assistive technologies and mobility aids to enhance patient rehabilitation.
• Knowledge of regulatory healthcare standards and documentation practices in physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
