Work Environment

The role is primarily onsite, allowing for hands-on interactions with our patients within a state-of-the-art clinic. Our facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology and spacious treatment areas designed specifically for orthopedic rehabilitation. Collaborating closely with a small team of dedicated professionals, including two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, you will deliver individualized therapeutic interventions that truly make a difference in patient journeys.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patient goals and tailor individualized treatment plans effectively.
• Manage a patient caseload that allows for focused attention, with a typical schedule of one patient per hour.
• Deliver evidence-based physical therapy treatments aimed at improving patients' range of motion, strength, and mobility.
• Design and implement holistic fitness and wellness programs that align with patients' specific rehabilitation needs.
• Document all patient interactions thoroughly, ensuring accurate records of progress and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to coordinate comprehensive patient care strategies.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques effectively to enhance patient recovery and reduce the need for medications or invasive procedures.
• Monitor patients' progress meticulously and adjust treatment protocols based on their response.
• Motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process, encouraging them to embrace a healthier lifestyle.
• Actively participate in team meetings to discuss patient cases and improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves individuals with private medical insurance, offering services that are tailored for adults recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and general mobility issues. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population, assisting them in regaining their independence and mobility through customized therapy programs.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid Virginia state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques with strong competencies in developing and executing exercise protocols.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, with preference given to candidates familiar with WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• A demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in physical therapy practices.
• Clinical skills that emphasize patient-centered care and effective communication to inspire confidence in treatment.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
