Paralegal

Proxy Legal Staffing & Search Group has partnered with a well-established law firm in the Charleston area to identify an experienced Paralegal to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional with strong litigation experience who enjoys managing files, supporting attorneys, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment. Responsibilities Draft discovery and assist with the preparation of petitions, motions, responses, notices, and other legal documents. Manage litigation files and maintain ownership of case files and deadlines. Electronically file documents in both state and federal courts. Assist attorneys with hearing and trial preparation, including preparing trial notebooks. Order and organize medical and billing records. Coordinate client communications and respond to client inquiries. Schedule depositions and maintain calendars for all deadlines and important case dates. Provide general administrative and legal support, including document preparation, formatting, scanning, filing, transcription, and answering phones. Collaborate closely with attorneys and other members of the legal support team. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of three years of paralegal experience. Paralegal certification is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet research. Excellent organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Strong client-service mindset with the ability to multitask and effectively manage competing priorities.
