Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients, documenting their concerns and background to tailor individualized treatment plans.

• Assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health throughout the therapy process and create comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions and group interventions, ensuring that each session is interactive and focused on client engagement.

• Monitor and evaluate client progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their feedback and clinical insights.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and other health professionals, to ensure coordinated care for clients.

• Manage client referrals to other specialists as required, ensuring a seamless transition in care.

• Provide guidance and support to family members of clients to help them understand mental health challenges and develop coping strategies.

• Proactively identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to overcome these challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Massachusetts.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective and empathetic interactions with clients.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to ethical practice and professional development.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, ideally in an outpatient setting.

• Comfortable utilizing electronic health records, particularly AVATAR or similar systems.

• Experience working with clients dealing with both physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction issues.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth knowledge of prescribed medications and their effects on mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n

A Better Way Psychotherapy Services offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
