Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ED, including rapid assessment, triage, monitoring vital signs, initiating treatments, and ongoing reassessment of acuity and needs.
- Administer prescribed medications, manage IV therapies and analgesia, monitor responses, and escalate as needed for adverse effects or deteriorations.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record; communicate changes to the care team and ensure smooth handoffs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, techs, and support staff to ensure timely care, patient safety, and efficient patient throughput in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist with procedures (wound care, suturing, splinting, and related tasks) while upholding infection control and safety standards.
- Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and referrals to appropriate outpatient services when indicated.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (state requirements applicable)
- Emergency Department or acute care nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress ED environment
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week travel assignment with Nights schedule (3x12)
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
