Work Environment\n

This role is designed for a full-time work schedule, Monday to Friday, with no evening or weekend shifts, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance. The outpatient setting emphasizes a contemporary, evidence-based approach to mental health care within a supportive and collaborative team environment. Although work will primarily be conducted remotely, professionals will frequently engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure coordinated and seamless care for clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your primary duty will be to implement therapeutic strategies that foster mental wellness in clients aged 18 to 30 enrolled in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). Your responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating Group Therapy: Lead engaging and constructive group sessions that promote connection among clients, enhance mutual learning, and reinforce a sense of community.

• Providing Individual Therapy: Offer compassionate, one-on-one counseling that allows clients to openly explore feelings and develop personalized coping strategies.

• Creating Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients in the development of individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.

• Monitoring Client Progress: Utilize various assessment tools to track and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

• Collaborating with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care and positive outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse range of young adults dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and difficulties stemming from life transitions. By establishing a trusting rapport, you’ll empower your clients to share their experiences and work towards recovery in a supportive environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia.

• Demonstrated experience in providing mental health counseling, with an emphasis on working with young adults.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required, those with additional experience in evidence-based practices or trauma-informed care will be highly regarded. Competency in using telehealth platforms and treatment modalities suited for a younger client base will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 85,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
