Make a positive difference in students’ lives while advancing your career as an Occupational Therapist. Work full time, supporting K-12th grade students on a contract basis in a school environment near Los Angeles, CA. This opportunity allows you to utilize your OT skills in a collaborative educational setting, helping students succeed academically and develop vital life skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current California OT license, or eligibility to obtain one
- Previous experience working with K-12th grade students is highly valued
- Familiarity with school-based OT best practices
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Capable of working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to determine individualized occupational therapy needs and develop treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services to students in one-on-one and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support each student's goals
- Maintain accurate documentation for IEPs, progress reports, and compliance requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary planning
- Utilize evidence-based interventions to promote student success in educational tasks and daily activities
