Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments through structured interviews and evidence-based evaluation tools to understand clients’ needs and concerns.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and other evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions, as well as psychoeducational and support groups designed to foster a sense of community among participants.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to coordinate care effectively, ensuring holistic support for each client.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during moments of intense emotional distress or mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients about their mental health conditions, potential treatment options, and local community resources to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client interactions in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in case consultations, team meetings, and training opportunities.

• Stay informed about the latest research in mental health therapy to implement the most current best practices in service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LMHC will work with a diverse population encompassing varied backgrounds and mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship difficulties. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMHC in New York State.

• Sound knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic approaches.

• Demonstrated proficiency in conducting comprehensive assessments and creating effective treatment strategies.

• Experience providing therapy, both individually and in groups, to a broad spectrum of populations.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in digital communication tools.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in telehealth services or remote counseling is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
