Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms and overall mental health.

• Collaborate closely with clients to create personalized treatment plans that reflect their unique circumstances, treatment preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to effectively address client needs.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to foster informed decision-making.

• Continuously monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document all interactions thoroughly in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and promote holistic treatment approaches.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and methodologies in mood disorder treatment, integrating new findings into therapeutic practices as appropriate.

• Actively participate in case conferences and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and share best practices.

• Advocate for clients' rights to mental health resources and actively work towards de-stigmatizing mental health challenges within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing a variety of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, including those facing additional challenges such as homelessness, refugee status, and domestic abuse. Your efforts will not only support their mental health recovery but also contribute to their long-term resilience and stability.

Qualifications\n

• You must hold a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
