This role primarily operates in a remote setting, enabling our counselors to provide high-quality services from the comfort of their own location. However, counselors may occasionally participate in in-office meetings and training sessions, ensuring a cohesive team environment and alignment with our organizational goals. Our outpatient office is equipped with advanced technology to facilitate seamless communication, teletherapy sessions, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients, documenting their mental health history from the initial consultation through to discharge.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional well-being through various assessment tools and techniques.
\n
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and recovery plans that include specific therapeutic interventions, with a focus on evidence-based practices.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic modalities that best address the unique needs of each client.
\n
• Monitor and assess client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Provide follow-up care and coordination for clients transitioning from hospitalization to outpatient services.
\n
• Support clients’ families by offering guidance and resources to help them navigate the mental health challenges of their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele includes individuals facing a wide array of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance use challenges. The counselors work closely with various demographics, including adults, adolescents, couples, and families, ensuring that treatment is tailored to the specific needs and circumstances of each client.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
\n
• A passing score on the National Counseling Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is required.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health issues and treatment methodologies.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems (experience with AVATAR preferred).
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to listen and empathize with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor or similar role, working with various age groups and populations.

• Familiarity with the best practices and guidelines set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth understanding of co-occurring disorders, including mental health and substance use issues.
\n
• Experience utilizing telehealth platforms for client assessments and therapy sessions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
