A global IP research and intelligence consultancy is hiring its first dedicated US salesperson. This is not a territory you inherit. It's one you build.

\n

\n

The firm is established and respected globally, but in the US it's not yet a household name. That's the opportunity. You won't have a big brand opening doors for you. You'll be opening them yourself, one conversation at a time, selling expertise and judgement rather than a product off a shelf.

\n

\n

This is a category-creation role. It will suit someone who has done this before: been the first commercial hire, built a book from nothing, sold a service that buyers didn't yet know they needed.

\n

\n

If your best wins came because a famous logo pre-sold the trust, this isn't the one for you. If they came because you built the trust, read on.

You'll likely have:

\n
• Owned complex services or consulting sales end to end, from first call to signature
\n
• Sold into law firms, corporate legal or IP teams
\n
• Built early-stage or zero-to-one sales motions where the brand wasn't doing the work
\n
• A genuine appetite to build a US function and, in time, a team
\n

\n

\n

The package: Contract engagement (the firm has no US entity yet), structured as a monthly retainer uplifted to reflect the absence of benefits, plus uncapped commission. Total opportunity $150K-$200K+ depending on experience, with real upside for the right builder.

This is a long-game role for someone who wants to own something, not pass through it.
