RN Flex Pool

The Registered Nurse Flex Pool role involves providing skilled nursing care across various medical and surgical units, including Medical, Laulima (surgical acute), and occasionally Cardiovascular units. The nurse is responsible for patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. This position requires adaptability to float between units, strong clinical skills, and effective communication to ensure high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Hawaii by the start of assignment.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably up to 10 years.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with medical and surgical nursing procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

• ACLS certification.
• PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC certifications considered advantageous.
• Experience with Meditech EMR and specialized equipment like wound vacs and chest tubes.

• Must have an active Hawaii nursing license before start; no medical or religious exemptions for immunity proof accepted.
• Floating between multiple units including Medical, Laulima, and Cardiovascular units is required.
• Nurse-to-patient ratios vary by unit: Medical (1:6 days/eves, 1:8 nights), Laulima (1:6), Cardiovascular (1:4).
• Professional nursing attire in clean scrubs is mandatory.

• 12-hour day shifts from 06:45 to 19:15.
• Scheduled 36 hours per week after orientation.
• No guarantee of hours; schedule may vary based on unit needs.
