Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts with flexible scheduling based on unit needs; patient ratios typically 1:4, may extend to 1:5; weekends variable based on staffing requirements

Highlights:

• Comprehensive solid tumor oncology unit caring for patients across the entire cancer journey from diagnosis through treatment and end-of-life care
• Oncology experience preferred but not required – excellent opportunity for experienced med-surg nurses to transition into oncology
• Epic electronic medical record system with 72 hours of orientation provided
• 36-bed unit with full interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
• Common diagnoses include breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers with chemotherapy administration
• Telemetry monitoring required; floating to other med-surg oncology units as needed

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care nursing experience within the last 12 months
• BLS certification required; ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and monitoring
• Skills in IV management, blood product administration, central line blood draws, port access/management, and chemotherapy administration
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor)
