Work Environment\n

This position allows therapists to enjoy a flexible and dynamic work environment through telehealth. Working from the comfort of your home, you will engage with clients via secure video conferencing platforms, helping to bridge barriers to access quality mental health care. The workweek generally runs from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with possible occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the unique needs, goals, and challenges of individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each client’s situation, such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).

• Deliver personalized counseling sessions, focusing on the emotional and psychological aspects of addiction and recovery.

• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions that promote peer support and mutual growth among clients in recovery.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals to guarantee cohesive and integrated care plans for our patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during substance-related emergencies, demonstrating critical problem-solving skills.

• Educate patients and their families on addiction concepts, recovery techniques, and local community resources that can aid in their ongoing journey.

• Maintain precise, confidential documentation that adheres to ethical standards and legal requirements, ensuring the integrity of patient records.

• Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and training sessions to further enhance skills and share insights on best practices in recovery.

• Stay informed about the latest research, treatment advancements, and effective practices in mental health and substance use disorder treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Many of these clients may also contend with co-occurring disorders, such as anxiety, depression, or trauma histories. By addressing the myriad of influences that affect recovery, you will help clients build resilience and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or psychologist in the state of California.
\n
• Thorough knowledge of substance use disorders, various evidence-based treatment modalities, and recovery-oriented care approaches.

• Proven experience delivering both individual and group therapy specifically linked to addiction treatment.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, characterized by an empathetic, non-judgmental approach to client interactions.

• Strong ability to uphold professional boundaries while adhering strictly to ethical practices and patient confidentiality.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology to enhance treatment delivery.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this full-time role ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
