Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your key responsibilities will include:

• Holding a caseload of clients and establishing rapport with each individual to create a trusting and effective therapeutic alliance.

• Conducting regular sessions to evaluate client progress, stability, and manage upcoming appointments, including appropriate discharge planning.
\n
• Designing, implementing, and continuously monitoring person-centered treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.
\n
• Accurately maintaining up-to-date documentation and progress notes for every client encounter to meet clinical and legal standards.
\n
• Performing comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate new clients' needs and formulating initial treatment strategies.

• Facilitating individual therapy sessions weekly and, when applicable, conducting group therapy as part of client care.

• Participating in individualized supervision for professional growth and clinical development.

• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• Maintaining a proactive growth mindset by actively seeking educational opportunities and integrating new methodologies into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on youth, catering to children and adolescents requiring mental health support. You will engage with a diverse client base, addressing a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and adjustment disorders. Understanding the unique developmental needs of young clients is essential to fostering positive therapeutic outcomes.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master’s Degree in mental health counseling, psychology, or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state.
\n
• Ability to meet credentialing requirements specific to our facility, including any necessary background checks and certifications.

• A foundational experience in providing therapeutic services, with at least one year of experience working with psychiatric patients or those facing substance use disorders.

• A demonstrated competency in assessment and diagnosis, as well as individual and group therapy methodologies.

• Proficient computer skills with familiarity in case documentation systems.

Preferred Experience\n

While it is mandatory for applicants to have relevant experience, preference will be given to candidates who have additional training in trauma-informed care, play therapy techniques, or cultural competency training. Being well-versed in various therapy modalities can greatly enhance the therapeutic experience for our young clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
