Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering appropriate diagnostic tests to establish accurate diagnoses.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in partnership with supervising physicians, taking into account patient preferences and informed consent.
• Perform necessary procedures and minor surgical interventions, such as suturing lacerations, splinting fractures, and managing abscesses, while adhering to established protocols.
• Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatment options, and post-treatment care to encourage health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Maintain meticulous and up-to-date medical records, ensuring comprehensive documentation of patient encounters, treatment outcomes, and follow-up care protocols.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to enhance efficiency and optimize patient care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
