Pay Rate: $24.00/hour (W2)

2+ Month Contract

Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant I to support the Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) department. This position provides administrative and operational support while assisting with health, safety, environmental, facilities, and security initiatives. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in gaining hands-on experience in HSE operations.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct HSE inspections throughout the facility and operations.
Assist with process risk assessments and document improvement actions.
Prepare and distribute HSE communications and safety updates.
Update and maintain the Emergency Response Manual.
Assist in developing and procuring the Employee HSE, Facilities, and Security Handbook.
Support the development and implementation of the site's Business Continuity Plan.
Coordinate and assist with HSE training sessions for employees.
Provide general administrative support to the HSE department.
Help prepare documentation for corporate HSE management system audits.
Maintain organized records and documentation.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in:
Health & Safety
Environmental Studies
Occupational Safety
Environmental Science
Or a related field
Basic understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including:
Excel
PowerPoint
Word
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of HSE/EHS programs and compliance.
Experience with documentation and administrative support.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Willingness to learn and grow within an HSE environment.
