Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Bring your expertise as a school-based Occupational Therapist to a dynamic contract opportunity in the vibrant Washington DC metro area, about 45 minutes south of the city. This is an exciting chance to shape and support student success in a forward-thinking environment. The contract starts August 3, 2026, and runs through May 26, 2027, with flexible, part-time hours and schedule details to be confirmed soon.

Qualifications:

• Current Virginia Occupational Therapy license, active and in good standing
• Previous experience in school settings and with pediatric populations highly desirable
• Ability to complete time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including a Virginia Department of Social Services background check and a TB test
• Reliable, professional, and adaptable to evolving district needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work alongside educators and families

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative OT services to students with diverse needs, supporting them in the development of essential life and academic skills
• Evaluate, plan, and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions as part of students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster a positive, inclusive environment
• Travel between assigned schools as needed (locations and caseload to be determined)
• Maintain compliant documentation and participate in IEP meetings and team communications
