This position offers a flexible work environment as you will primarily work remotely while serving clients from San Jose and surrounding areas. Our operational hours are designed with work-life balance in mind, with scheduled client sessions from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, including their severity, frequency, and duration, using standardized tools and questionnaires.

• Collaborate with clients to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with their goals and preferences.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to address specific mood disorders.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, equipping them with knowledge on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to foster independence and resilience.

• Continuously monitor and document clients’ progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless continuum of care for clients.
\n
• Engage in professional development activities, including attending workshops and training sessions to stay updated on the latest best practices in the treatment of mood disorders.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and promote the destigmatization of mood disorders within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with clients battling mood disorders, such as major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. This role requires sensitivity and a strong ability to relate to individuals from diverse backgrounds, recognizing the unique challenges they may face in managing their mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in mood disorder treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT.
\n
• Knowledge of psychopharmacology and the ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers.

• Proven experience in achieving positive outcomes for clients with mood disorders.
\n
• Outstanding communication skills with an ability to establish rapport with a diverse clientele.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling role focusing on mood disorders.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.

• Experience in community mental health settings is a plus.
