Barwon Mental and Behavioral Services is actively seeking a dedicated and culturally competent Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. Work Environment\n

This full-time position allows for a flexible work arrangement, primarily conducted remotely, with occasional visits to our outpatient office in Fort Worth. You will work Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility needed to accommodate patient schedules. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand each patient's unique circumstances and outcomes.

• Design and implement evidence-based treatment plans that are aligned with both clinical best practices and individual patient needs, focusing on their cultural and personal backgrounds.

• Facilitate individual therapy, family sessions, and group therapy to address a range of mental health concerns, promoting resilience and holistic well-being.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and a multidisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care for our patients.

• Provide crisis intervention support during critical mental health emergencies, utilizing strong assessment and intervention strategies.

• Educate patients and their families about their mental health challenges, treatment options available, and relevant community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing cultural competency training sessions to enhance professional development and service delivery.

• Stay informed about relevant research, emerging best practices, and cultural considerations in mental health services to refine approaches and interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will focus on serving a diverse patient population that includes immigrants, ethnic minorities, and LGBTQ+ individuals. You will be responsible for utilizing culturally responsive methods to connect with and effectively support clients from various backgrounds. By doing so, you will make a significant impact on their mental health journey and overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas is required.

• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders and a deep understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy, particularly with a focus on cultural competence and responsiveness.

• Exceptional crisis intervention skills and a proven ability to remain composed under pressure.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated capability to build rapport across diverse populations.

• Proficiency in EHR systems and relevant computer applications essential for documentation and patient management.

• A commitment to adhering to professional ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding professional boundaries.
