Work Environment

This position is based onsite, facilitating home care services in Centreville, VA. You will work collaboratively with a team of skilled professionals in a dynamic and supportive atmosphere, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care tailored to their needs. Your work schedule will primarily be weekdays, Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations in compliance with established practice standards and state regulations, ensuring precise assessment of patient needs.
• Assess mobility, strength, and function of patients, setting realistic, attainable goals for improvement tailored to individual capabilities.
• Develop detailed Plans of Treatment for each patient, including both short- and long-term goals, in consultation with other healthcare professionals, involving necessary patient and caregiver participation.
• Implement treatment plans consistently, adjusting therapeutic interventions based on ongoing patient evaluations and progress.
• Document patient progress meticulously in accordance with approved medical documentation and facility protocols to maintain accurate and updated patient files.
• Enhance personal and professional development by attending workshops, conferences, and reviewing current literature within the field.
• Collaborate with other facility staff members to maintain a clean, professional, and effective rehabilitation environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse range of patients experiencing various orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain disorders. The ideal candidate should have the ability to engage with patients of all ages, tailoring communication and treatment strategies to meet their unique needs. Your role is crucial in promoting positive patient outcomes and empowering patients to take charge of their recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Active Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification including AED training.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapy setting, with a focus on treating orthopedic conditions.

Preferred Experience

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Experience in home care settings and familiarity with home-based rehabilitation practices.
• Proficient understanding of best practices for using therapeutic and rehabilitation equipment.
• Ability to adapt motivational techniques that encourage patients to push their limits safely.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this role includes a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 yearly , commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:
