Work Environment\n

The role of the Mental Health Counselor will primarily operate within a remote outpatient setting, allowing for flexible engagement with clients while fostering a collaborative online work environment. Although the position allows for home-based work, the mental health counselor will occasionally attend team meetings and case consultations in person to enhance teamwork and clinical discussions. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate patients' psychological and emotional needs, leading to the development of personalized, client-centered treatment plans.

• Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups, providing clients with the knowledge and tools necessary to manage their mental health and build a strong community.

• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to ensure a cohesive and holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention services and management during acute mental health situations, ensuring that clients receive immediate and effective support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on a diverse group of patients, ranging in age and background, who are navigating various mental health challenges. Our counselors work with individuals suffering from mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related issues, and those dealing with substance abuse, offering tailored support to help each client achieve their mental health goals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Must possess a current and valid LCSW license in the state of California.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders, alongside evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic approaches.

• Demonstrated expertise in conducting thorough mental health assessments and creating effective treatment plans.
