This full-time contract opportunity is based near Wilkes Barre, PA, serving a diverse caseload and collaborating within a dynamic school community. You'll have the chance to bring your expertise to K-4 and K-12 settings, working with general education and autistic support populations.

In this role, you’ll respond to a range of student needs, including providing social-emotional support and collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams. You'll work Monday through Friday, with hours ranging from 35 to 37.5 per week, offering stability throughout the school year, now through June 2027.

Ideal background and experience:

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Active state licensure as a School Social Worker (or eligibility)
• Previous experience in K-12 educational settings, especially with elementary and autistic support populations
• Strong skills in crisis intervention, counseling, and facilitating group or individual sessions
• Ability to manage case files, conduct assessments, and create intervention plans
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering direct social work services to students in K-4 and/or K-12
• Conducting assessments and maintaining detailed case documentation
• Coordinating with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student success
• Participating in team meetings and helping develop intervention and transition plans for students
• Advocating for student needs and promoting a positive, inclusive school climate
