Hidden Paradise Counseling Services is seeking a devoted and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time capacity. This remote role is designed for professionals who are passionate about guiding clients toward improved mental health and emotional well-being. The counselor will conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, develop tailor-made treatment plans, and lead both individual and group therapy sessions. This position also entails managing referrals and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for each client.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary assessments to evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting cases from the initial consultation through the treatment process.

• Develop and implement customized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on clinical assessments and client goals.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic techniques to foster healing and personal growth.
\n
• Monitor clients' progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in collaboration with the client.
\n
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical doctors—to ensure comprehensive client care through collaborative intervention planning.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement preventative strategies to mitigate these risks.
\n
• Assist clients’ family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health difficulties, enhancing support systems outside therapy sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and present a range of mental health challenges. You will work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• A valid and current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required, with a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology preferred.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• A strong understanding of evidence-based practices in psychotherapy and mental health treatment.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to build rapport with a diverse client base and collaborate effectively with team members.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a counseling role, particularly within community health settings.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR.
\n
• Knowledge of addiction disorders and physical health conditions affecting mental health.
\n
• Understanding of the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Awareness of the clinical effects of various medications prescribed by healthcare providers.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, complemented by a signing bonus.
