Key Responsibilities\n

• Serve as a primary point of contact for families, ensuring open communication to support their needs and concerns regarding treatment.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions using Attachment-Based Family Therapy and other evidence-based therapeutic models.
\n
• Conduct Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and Family Support Groups to help families understand the treatment process and foster positive relationships.
\n
• Document all therapy sessions, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries promptly and according to agency standards, utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) and associated software such as Microsoft Word and Outlook.

• Participate in weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and regular clinical supervision sessions to contribute to the collaborative team atmosphere.

• Manage your scheduling independently to meet organizational goals and client needs efficiently.

• Attend relevant meetings, trainings, and conferences to stay current with the latest developments in therapy and represent Sunrise Counseling Services with professionalism.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with adolescents and young adults experiencing a range of challenges, including mental health issues, substance abuse disorders, trauma, and eating disorders. Your expertise in family relationships and dynamics will be critical to fostering healing and resilience in the clients we serve, ensuring they have the tools necessary for successful navigation of their journeys toward mental well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required, or enrollment in a Doctoral program from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or equivalent credential in the state of Maryland is mandatory.

• Demonstrated experience in providing individual, group, or family therapy specifically to adolescents or young adults.
