Executive Legal Assistant

A global law firm is seeking a talented legal support professional to join their friendly and close-knit Reston, VA office. The role will support a team of partners and associates, working across Private Companies, Capital Markets, and General Corporate matters. This role blends high?level administrative support with opportunities to take on more substantive work as you become integrated with the attorneys practices. One partner requires particularly heavy assistance with calendaring, scheduling, email management, client communication, and travel coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document and workflow support Prepare, revise, redline, proofread, and coordinate execution of corporate documents; maintain organized electronic files.
- Timekeeper support Manage complex calendars, coordinate meetings, resolve scheduling conflicts, and handle heavy email triage for a high?needs partner.
- Billing and administrative operations Enter time, process prebills, manage expenses and reimbursements, and prepare new business intake materials.
- Client and team communication Serve as a polished point of contact for internal and external clients; collaborate closely with attorneys and assist other team members as needed.
- Transactional and practice support Assist with corporate closings, research, CLE and bar tracking, travel arrangements, CRM updates, and participation in technology or workflow pilots.
Qualifications:
- Seeking at least three years of administrative support experience in a law firm or legal department, ideally within corporate or business practices.
- Proficiency or ability to quickly gain proficiency in Microsoft Office, iManage, IntApp, and other firm systems.
- Availability to work overtime when required.
- Bachelor degree preferred.
