This remote position is supported by our outpatient office, where our team convenes to share insights, collaborate on patient cases, and engage in professional development. The role offers flexibility in work hours, typically during weekdays, with a standard schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although occasional evening shifts may be required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to gauge the emotional and psychological needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that consider individual developmental stages and family dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and family therapy, adapting approaches based on the unique needs of each young client.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to engage parents and caregivers, helping them to foster a supportive home environment for their children.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and coordinated mental health care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and creating safety plans.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health challenges, treatment pathways, and available community resources, empowering them to take an active role in the therapeutic process.

• Ensure all documentation is maintained accurately and in a confidential manner, adhering strictly to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations to enhance collaborative care strategies and shared learning.

• Stay current with advancements in child and adolescent mental health, integrating research-backed practices into therapeutic work.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position specifically targets young patients struggling with a variety of mental health disorders, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral challenges. The therapist will work closely with children, adolescents, and their families to create a safe and engaging therapeutic relationship that promotes openness and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Active licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

Compensation and Benefits\n
