Valleywise Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Physical Therapist (OPT) to join our team in Sayreville, New Jersey. Work Environment

This full-time position is primarily onsite, requiring you to deliver care directly in the homes of our patients. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Valleywise Physical Therapy, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine patient needs and create personalized treatment plans based on physician referrals.
• Implement therapy strategies that include a variety of disciplines such as orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine to ensure holistic patient care.
• Utilize physical therapy modalities and therapeutic exercises at patients' homes to promote healing and restore function in alignment with prescribed care plans.
• Educate and guide patients and their caregivers about treatment goals, exercises, and techniques to facilitate active participation in their recovery.
• Document patient progress meticulously and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team to optimize outcomes.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a cohesive approach toward patient care.
• Maintain a positive, empathetic attitude that enhances the patient experience and promotes a supportive environment.
• Achieve minimum utilization goals while also contributing to the overall business objectives of the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the privilege of working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, injuries, and chronic pain. Our clients range from pediatric patients requiring specialized orthopedic care to older adults focusing on rehabilitative services after strokes or falls. Your role in building strong relationships with each patient will be crucial in motivating them to meet and exceed their functional and recovery goals.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you will need:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), recognized by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in physical therapy.
• A current CPR Certification to ensure patient safety and emergency readiness.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of forging meaningful relationships with patients and their families.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer applications to record patient progress and maintain documentation.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to connect positively with the community.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, prior experience in home health care settings or familiarity with the specific patient populations noted will be advantageous.
