Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve encompass a wide range of individuals dealing with various mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, addiction, and trauma-related conditions. You will employ a culturally responsive lens, understanding that each client’s background and experience inform their treatment process. In this role, you will also work with families and, in some instances, assist individuals navigating difficult transitions such as divorce, loss, or major life changes.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of related experience providing mental health counseling.
\n
• A strong understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions in a culturally inclusive manner.

• Proficient crisis intervention skills and the capability to maintain composure in challenging situations.

Preferred Experience\n
