Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work while being integrated into a supportive healthcare team. You will have the ability to effectively manage your own schedule, with expected hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Meeting the needs of our patients will guide any required schedule adjustments, ensuring we connect with them when they need us most.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, identify their mental health needs, and establish appropriate treatment plans.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the promotion of mental wellness.

• Deliver therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focusing on helping patients process their trauma experiences and develop healthy coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create a holistic care approach that addresses all aspects of a patient’s well-being.

• Provide crisis intervention for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate support and stabilization.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and provide them with resources for additional support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential records compliant with legal and ethical standards, ensuring quality in patient care and service delivery.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to discuss patient progress and continue professional development through shared insights.

• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices related to trauma therapy, ensuring our clinic maintains a cutting-edge approach in treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with individuals who have experienced traumatic events, including veterans, survivors of abuse and neglect, and those suffering from PTSD or related trauma disorders. This role requires sensitivity and a keen understanding of varying trauma responses, enabling you to customize treatment plans that acknowledge the complexities of each patient’s experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist in the state of New Jersey is essential.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders as well as trauma-informed treatment modalities is crucial for success in this role.

• You should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach when interacting with patients.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations while delivering exceptional patient-centered care is critical.

• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and familiarity with common computer applications will support your daily responsibilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
