Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to develop personalized therapy plans tailored to their unique needs and goals. \n
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups. \n
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate clinical documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards while ensuring client confidentiality. \n
- Engage in regular collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care for your clients, addressing any co-occurring needs and supporting overall client health. \n
- Participate in continuous professional development activities, including workshops and training sessions, to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling and research advancements. \n
Your role as an LPC will involve working with a diverse client base facing a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance abuse. You will play a crucial role in guiding clients towards recovery and helping them navigate their paths to wellness, focusing on vulnerable populations who may not have easy access to mental health services.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field. \n
- An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey. \n
- A minimum of two years of experience in counseling, specifically within a clinical setting. \n
- A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards related to counseling practice. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop a rapport with a diverse set of clients. \n
- Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and related technology for documentation and care coordination. \n
Specializations in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use treatment are highly preferred. Strong collaboration skills and previous experience working in multidisciplinary teams will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
