Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, utilizing standardized evaluation tools and clinical interviews.

• Collaborate with clients in developing tailored treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, goals, and treatment preferences, integrating their feedback into the therapeutic process.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support clients in managing their mood disorders effectively.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies to enhance their understanding and coping mechanisms.

• Regularly monitor clients' progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on therapeutic outcomes and client feedback.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care that addresses both psychological and pharmacological needs.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest research and best practices in mood disorder treatment, integrating new findings into your therapeutic approach.

• Document all client interactions accurately and ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards for confidentiality and record-keeping.

• Participate in ongoing professional development activities, case consultations, and team meetings to continuously enhance your clinical skills.

• Advocate for clients, working to de-stigmatize mental health challenges and actively promote their rights and mental health needs.

The clients you will work with include individuals struggling with a range of mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Qualifications\n

• Possession of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within the state of California is required.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapeutic methods, particularly in treating mood disorders through CBT and DBT.

• Solid understanding of psychopharmacology and the capability to engage collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate comprehensive client care.

• A proven history of successful treatment outcomes in mental health therapy, particularly with mood disorders.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds, promoting a culturally sensitive practice.
