Bookkeeper

Bookkeeper Our client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support daily accounting operations. This position is ideal for an organized accounting professional who enjoys working in a hands-on role and can manage multiple financial tasks while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping functions, accounts payable and receivable activities, reconciliations, and assisting with general accounting processes. Based on similar bookkeeper and accounting support roles in your organization’s records. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance Process accounts payable, including invoice entry, coding, and payment processing Generate customer invoices and apply incoming cash receipts Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other balance sheet accounts Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Assist with month-end close activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on past-due accounts Research and resolve billing, payment, and account discrepancies Prepare financial reports and support management with ad hoc reporting needs Maintain vendor files and ensure compliance with company policies Assist with payroll administration and other accounting-related duties as needed Qualifications 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities QuickBooks experience preferred Experience in a small business or multi-functional accounting environment is a plus Schedule Part-Time: 20-25 hours per week Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
