Work Environment This role is designed to be performed remotely, providing you with the flexibility to manage your work-life balance while still connecting with our patients and team members effectively. Our outpatient office model allows you to engage directly with individuals, couples, and families in need, using a variety of therapeutic modalities to facilitate positive outcomes. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient needs and appointments. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify patient needs and craft tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based practices. Utilize therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to deliver individual and group therapies. Facilitate psychoeducational groups that address common mental health challenges while promoting peer support. Engage in consistent collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care. Provide crisis intervention services during emergencies, demonstrating effective problem-solving skills and maintaining composure under pressure. Educate patients on their mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources to empower them on their recovery journey. Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently. Participate in ongoing professional development activities, case consultations, and team meetings to continually enhance your skills and knowledge. Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health therapy to apply innovative treatments within your practice. Patient Population / Client Focus As a Mental Health Counselor with us, you will work with a diverse clientele, including adults, adolescents, couples, and families who are facing various mental health challenges. Your work will directly contribute to improving their quality of life by addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship difficulties, and trauma recovery. Engaging with each patient on a personal level will help foster a supportive therapeutic alliance, driving better treatment outcomes. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree, with a preference for higher educational qualifications such as a Master's or Doctoral degree in relevant fields such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology. Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or similar credentials in New York State. Strong knowledge of mental health disorders and various evidence-based treatment methodologies. Proven capability in conducting comprehensive assessments and formulating effective treatment strategies tailored to individual patient needs. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by sound judgment and adherence to ethical guidelines. Proficiency in the use of EHR systems and other relevant computer applications. The ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment, fostering teamwork and collaboration. Preferred Experience Experience providing therapy to diverse patient populations, exhibiting a range of therapeutic approaches based on specific needs. A background in crisis intervention and familiarity with community resources is an asset. Previous experience in an outpatient clinic setting or a similar environment is highly valued. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
