Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations, utilizing standardized tools and interviews to identify clients' mental health conditions and treatment needs. Develop personalized therapy plans that incorporate a variety of modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and solution-focused approaches tailored to individual client circumstances. Manage client caseloads effectively, ensuring regular follow-ups, progress evaluations, and adaptations to treatment plans as needed based on ongoing assessments. Facilitate virtual therapy sessions via secure telehealth platforms, remaining responsive and available for clients seeking remote support due to location or accessibility challenges. Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and promptly in accordance with ethical and regulatory standards, maintaining a high level of professionalism in practice. Participate in continuous professional development activities to stay abreast of current therapeutic modalities and mental health trends, enhancing your skills and knowledge over time. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will work with a varied clientele, including individuals of all ages facing issues ranging from stress and anxiety to trauma recovery and mood disorders. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, enriching your therapeutic practice while challenging you to adapt your approaches to meet a wide array of needs. Qualifications MUST hold a valid New York State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) , Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) , Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) , or hold a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) . A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy is required. Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills are essential to build rapport and trust with clients, crucial for a successful therapeutic relationship. Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach when handling clients’ experiences and challenges are key attributes of a successful candidate. Strong organizational abilities and effective time management skills to manage your caseload and related administrative tasks efficiently. Preferred Experience Experience in providing both in-person and virtual therapy services, with an understanding of the unique dynamics and challenges presented in telehealth settings. Familiarity with community resources and support networks in Syracuse, NY, to facilitate referrals and comprehensive client care. Prior involvement in professional development or specialized training in evidence-based practices relevant to a range of mental health conditions.
